Speech Pathology Week 2020 about to happen!

In 2020, Speech Pathology Australia will host its Speech Pathology Week between 23 and 29 of August. The theme for this year couldn’t be closer to Speakable’s mission: Communicating with confidence!

This theme is a result from what Australia and the world is passing through with COVID-19, imposing barriers for communication and keeping people far for one another for health and safety reasons. For individuals with any kind communication difficulty, this moment is especially challenging and demands the attention from family, school and allied health specialists.

According to the association, 1.2 million Australians live with communication disability and can be supported by services which vary from tutoring classes to intensive speech and language therapy sessions.
