Speech Pathology Week 2019 under way

Communication is a basic human right and represents an important part in our society. Some individuals experience difficulties related to communication or swallowing at certain stages of their lives, affecting their happiness and self-esteem. In order to help reduce these negative effects from speech and language pathologies, Speech and Language Pathologists, or SLPs, are ready to implement techniques and methods to achieve successful results in the treatments.

As a celebration for the SLPs working to reduce the communication and swallowing issues for the more than 1.2 million Australians who experience those issues, Speech Pathology Australia launched more than ten years ago its Speech and Pathology Week. This event not only celebrates the professionals related to Speech and Language Pathology but also promotes the advancement of treatment methodologies, awareness initiatives at schools and corporate environments and debates integration and inclusion in society.

The theme for this year’s Speech and Pathology Week is Communicating with confidence. Be ready for news related to the event, which will take place from August 25th to 31st. Speakable is a passionate supporter of this event and will be following all news from this occasion to provide improved and top-notch methodologies to its clients, contact us and follow our social media to know more!
